LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Inside her cozy kitchen, Las Vegas mom Ali Garcia records cooking tutorials for her thousands of followers, showing how to make everything from pozole to pan de elote.
“I have over 300 recipes on my channel that I have shared with all of my heart,” Garcia said in Spanish.
For Garcia, what started as a simple hobby became a full-time passion and is now her main source of income.
“Because Mexican food we can find anywhere in any restaurant, but the authentic flavor of a homemade meal, that is what I want people to take away,” she said.
Garcia has shared hundreds of homemade Mexican recipes, and through her videos, she’s inspiring a younger generation that’s slowly losing touch with tradition, reminding them that cooking is one of the most powerful ways to connect with their roots.
“I always think I would love it if my grandma were here to ask her about recipes, but she’s not here anymore, so I don’t want that to happen to young people, so let’s leave this legacy here about our delicious Mexican food,” she said.
Her advice to other Las Vegas moms hoping to follow their dreams – whether it’s in the kitchen or on camera is simple.
“For young people or people of any age, don’t stop doing what you love, enjoy every day to the fullest,” Garcia said.
People can find Garcia’s recipes online on her YouTube channel, Comida Mexicana Con Ali.
