It turns out something can stop Jon Rahm.
The No. 1 player pulled out of The Players Championship on Friday about a half hour before his tee time with what his manager called a “bad stomach bug.”
Rahm was playing in the featured group, alongside Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler at the famed Sawgrass course.

Rahm opened with a 71 on Friday to put him in the middle of the pack.
The 28-year-old has won three tournaments already this early season.
Chad Ramey was the surprise first-round leader, shooting an 8-under 64.
