1 dead, another critically injured after North Las Vegas crash

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – One person is dead and another is critically injured after a crash in North Las Vegas Thursday, police say.

North Las Vegas Police said a crash happened at Revere Street and Rossmoyne Avenue at 10:38 a.m., near Carey and MLK Boulevard. It involved a white Hyundai Sonata and a gray Dodge Ram pickup truck.

According to NLVPD’s Major Collision Investigation Unit, the Hyundai traveled westbound on Rossmoyne and did not stop at a stop sign approaching Revere Street. The Hyundai crashed into a Dodge Ram that was driving northbound on Revere.

When officers arrived at the scene, police found two passengers from the Hyundai with critical injuries. They were transported to UMC where police say one person has died.

Police did not provide the condition of the occupants inside the Ram pickup or the driver of the Hyundai.

Police said speed and impairment are not considered factors in teh crash.

The identification of the deceased, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
