LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County fire department said an apartment fire displaced one person and damaged $100,000 worth of valuables.

Police said the fire happened Christmas afternoon in the 5400 block of Maryland Parkway near Harry Reid International Airport.

Fire crews arrived to a 2-story apartment building and entered a second-floor unit with flames showing from the windows.

The fire was knocked down in 20 minutes. Firefighters assisted with evacuating the rest of the apartment building.

Primary and secondary searches found no victims. Crews said there was minor smoke damage to adjacent units.

The cause is currently being investigated. One person was displaced because of the fire and another was treated for “minor” injuries at the scene.

Damage was estimated at $100,000.
