LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A small plane made an emergency landing along Las Vegas Boulevard at mile marker 13 Sunday morning.

State police responded to the plane crash at 8:40 a.m. just north of Jean.

It says four people, including the pilot, were on the plane when it left the Henderson airport.

The pilot says there were some mechanical issues, and so he started coming back to Henderson.

He tried to make an emergency landing on Las Vegas Boulevard, but because of the traffic, he had to land the plane in a ditch next to the road.

One person was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The FAA is investigating the cause of the crash.
