LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — On Wednesday, North Las Vegas Animal Protection was able to access a house near Ann Road and Camino Al Norte where dozens of cats were left behind.
FOX5 first reported the issue on Tuesday after neighbors reached out to us and said 50-100 cats were left behind after the owner moved out.
The house was sold in June and has since been acquired by a property management company.
FOX5 spoke to the owner of the company who said the damage inside estimates to be about $70,000.
According to the city of North Las Vegas, their APS team collected 17 feral cats from inside the house. This includes four nursing kittens; however, one kitten was found dead.
According to the city, food and water has been left for about a dozen cats that are still inside and they are working with Community Cats Program to trap the cats left inside as well as the ones roaming outside.
