LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A juvenile is dead after an east Las Vegas crash in March.
The head-on crash happened early morning of March 17 at Sahara Avenue and Pacific Summit Street.
A Camry drove west on Sahara while a Volkswagen drove east. Police said the Toyota’s driver, a 20-year-old man, failed to maintain control of the car, crossed into the opposite lanes and crashed head-on with a Volkswagen.
All parties were taken to a nearby hospital.
The Toyota’s driver and passenger, a 17-year-old boy, were listed in critical condition. A 15-year-old was listed with “serious” injuries and an 18-year-old claimed “minor injuries.”
Police said there was only one occupant of the Volkswagen, a 40-year-old man. He was listed with “serious” injuries.
Police said the 17-year-old that was critically injured in the Toyota died from his injuries at Sunrise Hospital on March 23.
“His death marks the 47th traffic related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for the year 2025,“ police said. ”This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation section.”
