LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An 18-year-old is in critical condition after being shot while driving in North Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon.
The North Las Vegas Police Department responded to reports of the shooting in the area of Clayton Street and Craig Road around 4:50 p.m. Arriving officers located an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound, and transported him to UMC’s Trauma Center.
He is currently in critical condition, according to NLVPD.
An initial investigation revealed that the 18-year-old was driving southbound on Clayton, approaching Craig. A shot was then fired from outside the vehicle and struck him.
A female passenger was also in the vehicle and was not injured.
Police believe this was an isolated incident, though an investigation is still underway.
