
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Officials have identified two people who were struck and killed in a 12-car pile-up Tuesday afternoon.
According to LVMPD, a teen driver faces reckless driving charges following a northwest valley multi-car crash at Cheyenne Avenue and Jones Boulevard.
Police report the driver of an Infinity G37, identified as Jose Gutierrez, 19, is accused of speeding, striking multiple cars waiting at the red light of the intersection. Gutierrez was traveling with a passenger who died at the scene.
According to the Clark County Coroners’ office, the 20-year-old passenger was identified as Adilene Duran Rincon. The second death was the driver of another vehicle, they were identified as 38-year-old Edward Garcia. Officials have not released the cause of death at this time.

According to a police report, in addition to the fatalities, multiple people were taken to the hospital and treated for injuries. A total of 18 people were involved in the collision, the youngest being a 5-year-old boy.
Gutierrez remains at the hospital as he is being treated for his injuries. He faces 4 counts of reckless driving resulting in death or serious injuries.
