LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Break Time Vape stores have been hammered by thieves recently in the Las Vegas Valley.

The company provided video to FOX5 that shows a thief trying to smash through a window of a store on Sky Pointe Drive near U.S. 95 and Centennial Parkway. The business says thieves hit that store three times alone in July and once at its store on Blue Dimond.

During the incidents, thieves took $20,000 worth of product as well as a little bit of cash, after taking a safe and cash register.

“It sucks that they took all this product and broke the windows and all of it,” said Break Time Vape store Regional Manager, Wayne Boulton Jr.

Boulton says the store wanted to speak out about its thefts and says it heard from Las Vegas police that other burglaries have happened at similar businesses in the area of Sky Pointe Drive.

“We just want to warn people be on the lookout, other shop owners, because it affects us. It affects everybody in this industry, so just be on the lookout,” said Boulton.

On Monday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told FOX5 about a “series” of thefts at vape stores and similar businesses around the valley.

Police told us about a possible suspect car identified as a newer dark green Charger. Break Time Vape officials say they have seen a silver Nissan in video from two thefts. They also say video appears to show suspects not much older than 20 years old.

Break Time says suspects may be stealing the items to sell to other kids or may be using the products, which can be expensive.

Boulton says the store has plans to put up security fences around its four valley stores and add new security cameras with higher resolution. The store says the gates alone will cost around $10,000.
