LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Drivers in the Las Vegas area should expect delays while the I-215 and Airport Connector construction project is underway.
According to Clark County Officials, the I-215 and Airport Connector Interchange Project resumed work on Nov. 3.
The two-year project will focus on widening roadways, lane realignment, pavement rehabilitation, and bridge construction, just to name a few. The $49.5 million project is reported to bring some closures and restrictions to lanes and ramps.
Key changes and impacts include:
- Lane Expansion: The Sunset off-ramp and northbound Airport Connector will each receive an additional lane.
- New Ramp Construction: A new ramp will be built from eastbound I-215 to the Airport Connector.
- Work Schedule: Construction will generally occur on weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some nighttime work expected.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and be aware of potential delays as work progresses on this significant infrastructure project.
