PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police are investigating a deadly crime scene in south Phoenix after a shooting on Tuesday night.

It happened at 24th Street and Southern Avenue. When police arrived, they found three men who had been shot. All three later died from their injuries, Phoenix Police said. Two other people were shot, but their injuries are not as serious.

Arizona’s Family crews at the scene Wednesday morning could see one person’s body still at the scene. It’s unclear what the person’s involvement was in the shooting.

The area remains partially closed Wednesday morning while investigators work the scene. Investigators have not said what led to this shooting.

Video from the scene shows police focusing on a crash involving a small white SUV and a white sedan. Both vehicles are partially on the sidewalk near the street sign for 24th Street.

Detectives are still working to process the scene. It is unclear if a suspect is in custody, but Arizona’s Family crews saw police take away a man in handcuffs who they say was detained for questioning.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call SILENT WITNESS at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO).
