LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Three teenagers were arrested and face charges related to a deadly shooting near a Las Vegas basketball court.
Police said the shooting happened around 1 a.m. Monday on Washington Avenue near Lamb Boulevard in east Las Vegas.
Officers found a man who had been shot on a basketball court. He died on the scene, police said. Two other people were also found with gunshot wounds and taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Investigators determined the man was sitting on a bench with a woman when two young people drove up to the area, got out of the car, and attempted to rob them at gunpoint, when shots were fired.
Police said three teens were arrested. While law enforcement officials did not identify them, investigators said they will face multiple felony charges, including open murder.
