LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The 34-acre fire at Wetlands Park was human-caused, Clark County Fire says.

The Clark County Fire Department provided an update Thursday afternoon. The fire started early Monday morning. It closed the 210-acre Nature Preserve and trails surrounding the Wetlands Park Nature Center Tuesday for crews to address hot spots.

Officials say the fire is 90 percent contained with full containment expected Wednesday.

“Firefighters have worked throughout the day to address hot spots and keep the size of the fire contained to 34 acres,” CCFD says.

Bureau of Land Management investigators says the fire was human-caused. Further details are not yet known.

The nature preserve is expected to open Wednesday.

“In addition to the BLM, the following agencies have provided resources to fight this fire: U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Nevada Division of Forestry,” CCFD said.
