LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Clark County has had to warn several people about violating the newly adopted sidewalk vendor ordinance while very few people have applied to operate legally.

Clark County officials said they have issued 38 written warnings to sidewalk vendors since April 30, the day the county’s new sidewalk vending ordinance went into affect. The county has yet to issue any citations.

Additionally, officials said they have only received one application for a sidewalk vendor license. The county said the Business License department receives 15-20 in-person inquiries regarding licensing a day.

Clark County is hosting a sidewalk vending workshop on Thursday from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the Clark County Government Center. The Southern Nevada Health District will also be there to detail the steps in getting a health permit.
