LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas police said four people were hospitalized Friday night after a crash in the Northwest Valley involving a stolen vehicle.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, officers were notified of a stolen vehicle in the area of Rampart Blvd. and Lake Mead Blvd. around 6:30 P.M. Police said the driver refused to stop the vehicle when officers tried to stop it before the driver led officers on a short pursuit. LVMPD told FOX5 that the driver of the stolen vehicle lost control and crashed into an unrelated vehicle that had one person inside near Durango Dr. and Cheyenne Ave.
Police said four people were transported to hospitals for various injuries. It is unclear of the extent of their injuries. The driver of the stolen vehicle was arrested, according to LVMPD.
As of 11:30 P.M. Friday night, Durango Drive was closed north of Cheyenne Avenue as the investigation continues.
