LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire that killed five cats and left one person with smoke inhalation injuries Friday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to a south Las Vegas home around 4:11 p.m. The fire was located at 679 Mystic Cliffs Avenue. The garage was fully engulfed along with four vehicles in front.
The fire started extending to the first floor of the home, but CCFD said fire crews quickly put water on the fire, entered the home and controlled the damage.
After search operations, firefighters said five cats died. One person was sent to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation injuries.
Two adults were displaced from the fire.
“Clark County Fire Department was assisted by Henderson Fire Department and American Red Cross on this fire,” officials said.
The cause of this fire is still under investigation and Clark County Fire Investigators remain on scene.
