LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 61-year-old woman is dead and a driver was arrested after a crash in Pahrump Monday.
Nevada State Police said the crash occurred at 9:29 p.m. on State Route 160 south of Country Place Road.
Police said the driver of a 1997 Toyota Camry drove southbound on 160 when a pedestrian, later identified as Terrie Lynn Hicks, walked onto the roadway in front of the Toyota.
Police said the driver tried to steer away, but Hicks was still hit and died at the scene. NHP did not identify the driver but said they were arrested for DUI charges.
The investigation is still ongoing by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol – Traffic Homicide Unit.
