LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A pedestrian died a month after an east Las Vegas crash back in February, police say.
Las Vegas Metro Police said the crash happened Friday, February 28 at 2:09 p.m. on Stewart Avenue east of Nellis Boulevard. Evidence indicates the driver of a Nissan Rogue drove east on Nellis. At the same moment, an 86-year-old pedestrian was crossing Nellis outside a crosswalk.
Police said a crash happened when the pedestrian hit the left side of the Nissan. Medical arrived and transported him to UMC Trauma.
The driver of the Nissan, 62-year-old Dana Anderson of Las Vegas, claimed no injuries. Police said they shows signs of impairment and was arrested.
March 26, the Clark County coroner said the pedestrian die at Nathan Adelson Hospice.
“The pedestrian death marks the 46th traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Jurisdiction for the year 2025,” police said. “This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.”
