This is the fifth vehicle fire for Death Valley in the past year.

No injuries were reported, but the vehicle was destroyed. The cause of the fire is currently unknown but is suspected to be an electrical issue, according to fire authorities.

Park rangers noted that vehicle fires are often due to brakes overheating on long, steep descents.
