The woman walks through the broken door and walks out with her hands full, but she doesn’t go far. Within 20 minutes of the original break-in she appears to return, this time, taking their register.

Then, at 4 a.m., the video shows two men ride by on bikes, pause for a moment, and then enter the store.

“Every hour after that there was just constantly like people coming in,” Bogart Vintage Owner Linda Ruiz says.

Only 15 minutes past 4 a.m., another passerby stops to grab some jewelry from the debris.

The series concludes around 7 a.m., the sun is out, and two men meet at the broken door and enter the store.

“You can tell these people are obviously doing something bad because they’re literally looking around, scoping out the area to see if they should come in,” she says.

Ruiz estimates about 10 people walked down the sidewalk, and even more people drove down the road, either not noticing the broken glass door, or deciding not to report it.

“For all the people that were walking by it was clearly open,” she says.

She wasn’t notified of the break-in until 10 a.m. by a neighboring store owner. She estimates the total cost at $15,000.

With her baby due in one month, Ruiz says she’s considering moving her businesses somewhere safer.

‘’My lease actually comes up in a year and I just, especially since I’m about to have a baby I just don’t think it’s the safest area,” she says.
