LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The four Las Vegas teens who were facing murder charges in the death of their classmate agreed to a plea deal.

An amended indictment shows that Damien Hernandez, 17, Dontral Beaver, 16, Gianni Robinson, 17, and Treavion Randolph, 16, all agreed to voluntary manslaughter charges in the death of 17-year-old Jonathan Lewis on Nov. 1, 2023. They previously all faced murder charges.

Robert Draskovich, the lawyer for Robinson, said that the deal struck would move the case back to juvenile court, allowing for any record associated with the death for the four suspects to be sealed.

The teens are accused of being involved in the deadly beating of Lewis, a Rancho High School student. Lewis was so badly hurt that he was taken to University Medical Center and later taken off life support.

Police arrested nine suspects in the case; the five other teens were always in juvenile court.

A plea hasn’t officially been entered in the juvenile court, Draskovich said, and a sentencing would be set at a later date.
