LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man was arrested Saturday after leading North Las Vegas police on a chase that ended in California.
Around 2:30 p.m., officers with the North Las Vegas Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the 4100 block of Solar System Street. Initial reports say a man was actively battering a woman in front of a residence, and unsuccessfully attempting to drag her into the residence.
Police also learned that the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Trevion Thomas, began pointing a firearm at the woman and witnesses who tried to help her. Thomas would also steal property from at least one witness while pointing a gun at them, police added.
When officers arrived, Thomas was observed pointing the gun at his head, getting into the woman’s vehicle, and fleeing the area.
The woman was transported to UMC Trauma for medical treatment.
NLVPD officers began to pursue Thomas but would end the chase due to dangerous speeds and traffic. California Highway Patrol and local law enforcement were also notified.
Around 5:30 p.m., CHP notified NLVPD that Thomas was arrested after leading police on another chase and barricading himself in his vehicle. NLVPD will take custody of Thomas once he is booked and processed by CHP.
Thomas is facing charges of domestic battery with a deadly weapon, 1st-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, grand larceny motor vehicle, reckless driving, and evading a police officer.
