LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada State Police are responding to a fiery crash involving two semi-trucks on Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred on US 95 near mile marker 13 in Nye County. Troopers add that one truck was hauling wood and the other was hauling 31,000 pounds of lithium batteries, which sparked an electrical fire.

Both drivers are okay and have reported only minor injuries.

North and southbound US 95 lanes will remain shut down while crews work to clean the scene, and until an investigation is complete. Troopers say they expect the closure to last all day.

Drivers are advised to pass the crash through Pahrump and avoid the area.
