LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man was taken into custody late Thursday night following a barricade near downtown Las Vegas.
Around 11:35 p.m., Las Vegas Metro Police began investigating a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of North 13th Street, near Bonanza and Maryland. A man was reportedly threatening his family members with a firearm and stated that he would hurt them if they refused to leave.
Arriving officers deemed the situation a barricade after the man refused to leave the residence and requested SWAT and crisis negotiators.
Crews were eventually able to take the man into custody after multiple hours.
An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
