LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The UNLV men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will open their 2024-25 season on Friday in Tempe, Arizona, at Arizona State. The meet is set to begin at 6 p.m. PT.
On the women’s side, the Rebels return swimmers who received multiple All-Mountain West selections from last season.
That group of all-conference returnersare highlighted below
- Fifth-year diver Vika Yanovska (1-meter;platform)
- Seniors Gina Miller (500 free; 1650 free)
- Cameron Mykkanen (100 fly; 200 fly)
- Junior Erika Carlson (100 free; 200 free; 500 free)
- Sophomores Fernanda Guerra (50 free; 100 free; 100 fly)
- Ava Olson (500 free; 1650 free; 400 IM)
- Dominika Trentkiewicz (100 back; 200 back)
The Rebels men’s team brings back several All-WAC swimmers and divers of their own.
The group is headlined by seniors listed below.
- Bryson Huey (100 free; 100 fly; 50 free)
- Andrew Navarro (1650 free; 200 fly; 500 free)
- Michael Breitbart (200 breast; 400 IM; 200 IM), Dima Tereshchenko (Platform; 1-meter; 3-meter)
- Adnan Beji (200 breast; 100 breast) and Cooper Kiel (200 IM).
They are joined by sophomores listed below.
- Wikus Potgieter (200 back; 100 fly; 100 back)
- Colby Raffel (200 fly; 400 IM; 500 free)
