LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man has died after allegedly being stabbed by his own neighbor in downtown Las Vegas Tuesday night.

Police say the stabbing occurred following an argument between two men. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers located the suspect, Ulysses Grant, 76, at an apartment unit near Fremont and 9th Street.

Police were guided to another unit where they found the victim suffering from stab wounds. The man received medical attention but personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Metro police said they determined that Grant and the victim got into an argument in the victim’s apartment. During the argument, Grant produced a knife and stabbed the victim, police said.

Grant is now being held at the Clark County Detention Center.
