LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A motorcyclist is dead after a high-speed crash with an SUV in North Las Vegas Thursday morning.
According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, the crash occurred on West Carey Avenue and Revere Street. An initial investigation revealed that a 2007 Suzuki Hayabusa was traveling west on Carey, while a 2024 Nissan Rogue was traveling east and preparing to turn left onto Revere.
The crash occurred when the motorcycle failed to yield the right-of-way to the Rogue and the two collided.
The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old man, was ejected in the crash and died at the scene. The SUV driver, an 82-year-old woman, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police add that she was not impaired at the time of the crash, though an investigation is ongoing.
The intersection is currently closed in all directions.
