LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5)—Voters may have various reasons to keep personal information such as phone numbers and home addresses confidential.

That information is public on voter registrations, which the county says anyone can look at.

Clark County has an option to make that information confidential. Here are the steps to take.

  1. Log onto clarkcountynv.gov/elections.
  2. Find “Registered Voter Services” on the page and click that.
  3. You are then directed to a page where you must put in your first and last name, last four numbers of your social security number, or driver’s license, and then your date of birth.
  4. Click “Log-in.” Once you do that, you will see your registration information details, which includes a “Voter Services” section with a “Drop-Down Menu.”
  5. Click the arrow under the Drop-Down Menu text.
  6. Several options will appear, including “Make My Address and Telephone Number Confidential” in the middle.
  7. After you click that, you will be directed to a confidentiality request form, which should include your name, date of birth and residence address.
  8. You will need to sign and date the form for it to be processed.

You will see different options on where to send the form, from dropping it off in person at the Clark County Election Center, mailing it in, e-mailing it, or faxing it.

The form can be printed to be mailed or dropped off.

Clark County Election officials tell FOX5 it will take 7-10 days for your information to be processed.

The website has extensive voting information, including how to contact the Clark County Election Department.

People with voting questions may call 702-455-VOTE (8683).
