LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – If your tick-or-treating takes you to a Henderson neighborhood, one stop might have you “jump” in excitement.

But for this house of rock-and-roll, the “hot summer nights” were a little too much.

A few months ago, the FOX5 Surprise Squad helped out former rock-and-roll roadie, John Watkins.

He didn’t have any AC during the hottest days of the year.

A stagehand needed help after his AC and water gave out. Goettl helped. Sponsored by United Nissan, America First Credit Union, Albertsons & Vons.

Watkins worked as a pyrotechnician for some of the world’s biggest bands, and after hearing his story, FOX5 decided to return for a second visit to hear more about his rock-and roll-life.

He shares his story in a follow-up you’ll only see on FOX5. Watch the full interview below and our on-air report through the media player above.
