LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Clark County District Court judge raised the bail of former metro sergeant Kevin Menon, who was in charge of a unit on the strip.
Judge Ronald Israel explained to the courtroom on Wednesday that he considered both cases Menon faces.
“The factors are serious enough, I’m amending, I’m raising his bail to $150 thousand dollars,” said Clark County Judge Ronald Israel.
FOX5 obtained the officer’s body camera footage, which showed the accused sergeant conducting multiple unlawful arrests. The videos were presented to a grand jury as part of evidence.
Menon worked with Metro since 2014.
Menon also faces separate child pornography charges.
The former LVMPD sergeant posted his bail set for $100,000 for the two porn charges.
Menon is set to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 7, regarding his child pron charges.
