LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating an “illegal shooting” in the southeast valley Wednesday morning.
Around 7:52 a.m., LVMPD received reports of an unknown male firing rounds from a handgun into the air at Desert Inn and Hollywood Boulevard.
Citizens in the area observed the shooting, but there are no reported victims, police say.
Police emphasize that this is not an active shooter incident. Multiple nearby schools have been placed on lockdown.
LVMPD is on the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
