LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – FOX5 has learned Las Vegas police tried to stop a stolen car before a deadly crash that killed two children at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Pecos Road.

The crash happened on Friday, November 8th, but FOX5 is learning new details after combing through the arrest report.

It all started at the Albertson’s on Desert Inn Road and Pecos Road.

Police say they spotted the reported stolen Lexus, driven by Nikki Serrat.

After trying to make a traffic stop, they said Serrat sped off.

At the intersection of Flamingo and Pecos is where police say surveillance video shows Serrat speeding through the intersection, crashing into an SUV carrying four children and a mother.

We know one of the children, 11-year-old, Dante Lewis died at this scene. His sister, 6-year-old Taaliyah died at the hospital. The family has set up a GoFundMe page asking for donations for financial support.

A memorial is growing for the children at the intersection, but the crash details don’t stop there.

The police report states after the crash, Serrat, who was already on probation, ran away from the scene.

According to a witness who tried to check on the crash victims, Serrat pushed on her door, preventing her from getting out and helping.

Serrat was arrested the next day in North Las Vegas.

She is expected to make an initial appearance in Las Vegas Justice Court on November 18 at 8 a.m.
