LAS VEGAS, Nevada (WOIO) – The US Marshals Service arrested 29-year-old Daryl Patton, who Cleveland Police wanted for aggravated murder Thursday.
According to the Cleveland Police, on Jan. 17 officers got called to East 95th Street and Pratt Avenue for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Martin Johnson shot on his front porch.
He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Patton was later identified as a suspect in this fatal shooting and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The US Marshals got information that indicated Patton had fled Ohio and was in Las Vegas.
Thursday members of the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force arrested Patton at an apartment in Vegas.
U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said, “This violent fugitive fled 2,000 miles across the country in an attempt to avoid arrest. This collaborative arrest is the ultimate example of the nationwide reach and teamwork amongst the United States Marshals Service.”
