LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Rescue operations were successful the past weekend at Red Rock Canyon and Mountain Springs.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Search and Rescue posted the rescues on Instagram.

Saturday, someone had a heart attack while hiking at Mountain Springs. A group of friends were able to call 911.

SAR, resident officers, the Clark County Fire Department, the Bureau of Land Management, the United State Forest Service all responded.

The victim was carried out and was taken to a hospital.

SAR said the wind and terrain was a challenge, but still celebrated a complete joint effort.

Sunday, SAR responded to Pine Creek for two stuck climbers on the Jimmy Marshall Memorial.

The climbers were stuck near the bottom of pitch nine. Saturday, SAR attempted to rescue them, but was unable to reach them because of the wind.

The climbers were not injured and had to stay the night.

Sunday morning, the two were rescued by climb volunteers and were extracted by a hoist.
