LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Another trustee has resigned from the Clark County School Board, according to CCSD.
In a statement released Tuesday morning, CCSD Board President Evelyn Garcia Morales announced that Trustee Lola Brooks resigned from her seat in District E on Nov. 28. Additional details on her decision to resign were not immediately available.
“We are grateful for the many years of service Trustee Brooks has dedicated to our children and school district and her unwavering commitment to bettering our community. Over her eight-year tenure as member, clerk, vice president, and president, she led the district through a pandemic and difficult times, ultimately leaving us in a better place. We wish her all the best in her next adventure.
Brooks was first elected as a trustee in 2016, according to CCSD. Outside of the board, Brooks worked as a Data and Assessment Coordinator at a local charter school, where she worked to streamline information systems.
Garcia Morales added that the board will decide how to address the vacancy in the future.
