LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A horse that was dumped in Mt. Charleston now has a home at a rescue.

Advocates say they found out about a horse possibly gumped earlier this week. The horse was domestic as it had a braided mane.

Advocates worked with the Forest Service and Animal Control to feed the horse knowing it wouldn’t survive on its own.

This week, the group was able to put the horse in a trailer and bring it to his new home on the mountain at a horse sanctuary. It was a team effort by Nevada Wild Horse Rescue, Wild at Heart Rescue and South Western Wilds.
