LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – There is an outpouring of support from Southern Nevada is growing. The Rotary International District 5300 is among those collecting essential items for those impacted by the devastation.
The organization is collecting items at their drop off center located Las Vegas Party Rentals, 2111 Western Ave. Las Vegas, Nevada, 89102.
They are collecting items from Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
They hope to collect at least $100K in relief funds. They’re also looking for everyday medical supplies, paper products, pet supplies as well as monetary donations.
FOX5 spoke to the former District Governor of Southern Nevada and organizer, about the impact of the work they are doing.
“It’s pretty emotional from my standpoint because I’ve always been amazed, at rotary and what’s it’ able to and the fact that people step up,” said Michael Soden, former Rotary District Governor of Southern Nevada.
