LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – North Las Vegas police said they found a person inside a burning van Tuesday afternoon.
Police and the North Las Vegas Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the 1000 block of East Colton Avenue. This is near Losee Road and West Cheyenne Avenue.
Around 2:06 p.m., police found a later-model van parked on Colton Avenue engulfed in fire. While performing overhaul operations, firefighters recovered a body.
Investigators from the North Las Vegas Fire and police departments have responded to the incident and there are no further details at this time.
The identification of the deceased, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
