LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A pedestrian died at a hospice nearly a month after an east Las Vegas crash.

Police said the crash happened Dec. 21 at 10:05 p.m. at Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road.

Police said a 22-year-old man drove a 2017 Cadillac XTS northbound on Nellis, approaching Desert Inn. At the same moment, a pedestrian was crossing Nellis in the south crosswalk against a pedestrian signal.

A crash occurred when the driver entered the intersection on a green light and hit the pedestrian. The driver came to a controlled stop.

Medical arrived and transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital. At the time, his injuries were life-threatening. The driver claimed no injuries and did not show signs of impairment.

Tuesday, police learned from the Clark County coroner that the pedestrian died Jan. 11 at Nathan Adelson Hospice.

The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
