LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Police are responding to a crash in the southwest valley that killed a cyclist Tuesday morning.
According to Las Vegas Metro Police, a vehicle collided with a cyclist at Tropicana Avenue and Decatur Boulevard around 3:50 a.m. Police say the female motorist tried to avoid a cyclist riding across the street, but still struck him.
The male cyclist was taken to a local area hospital in critical condition. As of 5:50 a.m., LVMPD has confirmed to FOX5 that the man died of his injuries.
Traffic officers are on the scene to conduct an investigation.
The intersection will remain closed while the investigation is underway.
