LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metro Police is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcyclist and several semi-trucks.
According to LVMPD, just after 7 a.m. a motorcyclist collided with a parked semi-truck near Hacienda and south Valley View Boulevard.
A 1999 Suzuki GSX-R 600 motorcycle was speeding northbound on Wynn Road.
Officials report as the rider approached the intersection of west Mesa Vista they lost control and crashed into the side of the parked semi.
The rider was removed from their motorcycle and then collided with two other semi-trucks.
LVMPD says the Suzuki traveled off the road and damaged county property.
Despite life saving efforts the rider died due to their injuries.
The department reports this incident marks the 25 traffic related death.
