LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – FOX5 obtained documents which reveals new details involving a 50-year-old man who shot and killed his girlfriend in the southwest Valley.
According to the arrest report police responded to 911 calls of a man who confessed he shot someone near Durango and Blue Diamond on Feb. 9.
Paul Moore told police he was threatened and involved in a fight with a woman, so he pulled out a gun and shot her.
Police arrived at the scene and took him into custody. The woman was found on the floor in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to her back.
Police identified the female victim as Elizabeth Nam. Medical professionals provided aid, but Nam died on the scene.
The report stated as medical arrived they witnessed Moore was bleeding from his right thumb. Moore explained he was bit by Nam and he bit her back.
A search warrant was granted.
The woman was found bleeding from her left thumb, a scratch on her left forearm, a scratch to her nose, she was bleeding from a cut on her chin, and abrasion on left side of her head.
Police report they discovered a handgun on the kitchen counter.
The suspects roommate told police that Moore had recently met Nam on Bumble about a month ago. Nam moved into Moore’s bedroom.
They detailed that morning he woke up around 4 a.m. to hear the couple arguing, followed by the sounds of wrestling that ended with a loud bang. The report says Moore told the roommate he shot her.
Police say Moore did not want to speak without an attorney present. Detectives said Moore smelled like alcohol.
