LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Henderson Police Chief Hollie Chadwick has been placed on leave, city officials revealed.

Chief Chadwick was called into the city manager’s office Thursday afternoon and told to take a three-week leave, sources tell FOX5. Chadwick was also presented with two options: resign and take a settlement or be fired with cause.

Sources add that Chadwick, who joined Henderson Police Department in 2002, was the “right person at the right time” when she was promoted to Chief of Police in May 2023.

However, in recent weeks, sources say her management style has been clashing with the police union.

Five officers have taken early retirement since Chadwick became chief, sources shared, all of which mentioned her leadership style during their exit interviews with the city manager.

News of the firing has also impacted Tuesday’s upcoming Henderson City Council meeting, where Chief Chadwick was supposed to give a public safety presentation. It is unclear if the presentation will still happen as planned.

City officials say Deputy Chief Itzhak Henn will take on the role of acting Chief until March 6.
