LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – FOX5 obtained the complaint against former Henderson Police Chief Hollie Chadwick and her response related to the allegations.
Sources tell FOX5 Chief Chadwick was also presented with an ultimatum to take a three-week leave, resign and take a settlement, or be fired with cause.
The complaint was filed on Dec. 10, 2024 which list the Henderson Police Supervisor Association and others who collaboratively filed against Chief Chadwick alleging discriminatory behavior against HPSA members.
The complaint alleges Chadwick had been engaged in “union busting” activities for the last six months. It also says the HPSA President Lieutenant Charles Hedrick was targeted and singled out for conducting union duties.
The report states for about 4 months the HPSA was involved in a series of union issues.
Chadwick reviewed these allegations and while she denied singling out Hedrick, she admitted to the list of complaints which referenced overtime policy negotiations.
According to the report in various instances Chadwick addressed Lt. Hedrick regarding the use of union leave days, which was reportedly causing overtime.
Hedrick used six union days which resulted in overtime, but he explained each occasion was valid.
The complaint suggests Hedrick’s believes the changes to use of union leave “was entirely a punitive response related to him being the HPSA President and engaging in protected Union activities,”
In the city’s response to that particular claim Chadwick “denied the allegations.”
On Oct. 9 Chadwick emailed Hedrick highlighting the HPSA contract details which stated in part.
Ultimately the report says the HPSA filed a complaint with the City of Henderson against Chief Chadwick for denying the use of union leave.
In an effort to seek resolution the HPSA would like an apology letter and a cease and desist of any unfair labor practices against its members.
