LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Great Basin National Park recently had 20 percent of its staff cut.

It happened on Valentine’s Day, according to the Great Basin National Park Foundation. The nonprofit said the park already had eight unfulfilled permanent positions.

The foundation says it took action and created a Temporary Park Operations Team with a $25K investment. Five employees were hired on a temporary basis.

“Please invest in the park you love,” the foundation said. “Please help to safeguard the national park experience that we hold dear.”
