LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas firefighters are responding to a fire that sparked in a home under construction Tuesday morning.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue says dispatchers began receiving calls about a fire on 5664 Egan Crest Street around 10:15 a.m. Callers reported that the back of the home was on fire.

FOX5 crews observed that the home appeared to be partially built.

Firefighters arrived at 10:22 a.m. and began working to extinguish the fire. The fire was upgraded to a two-alarm and additional units were requested around 10:31 a.m.

LVFR says the roof of the home collapsed around 10:36 a.m.

Ann Road is closed in both directions at Egan Crest Drive while crews are responding, per RTC.
