RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Nevada Department of Transportation is warning the public about a scam involving toll road fees.
They say the scam involves text messages claiming the recipient has unpaid toll road fees and asks them to click through to a website to pay to avoid being reported to the DMV.
NDOT says there are no tolls on public roads in the state of Nevada, and any claims of toll road fees are not legitimate.
