LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Raiders may be moving on from yet another quarterback.
Raiders QB Gardner Minshew is expected to be released at the start of the new season, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Minshew joined the Silver and Black in March 2024, after reports of a 2-year deal for the former Indianapolis Colts quarterback emerged. In the 2024-25 season, Minshew and the Raiders went 4-13 and were knocked out of playoff contention in a 19-29 loss to the Denver Broncos.
He would throw for 2013 yards, 9 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
Throughout the season, Minshew would compete with backup Aidan O’Connell for the role of starting quarterback, until his season ended in a broken collarbone.
He is the latest member of the Raiders team to be dismissed after one season, following former head coach Antonio Pierce and general manager Tom Telesco.
FOX5 has reached out to the Raiders for official comment but has not heard back.
