LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – High school students with a passion for music can explore it with a unique program in the Las Vegas Valley.
The Rock Academy of the Performing Arts is a part of The Delta Academy.
Students in 9th-12th grades can audition to join the ensemble that plays a wide array of different music styles. Chief Rock Officer Jay Caballero said students can discover a passion for music with this program, but it’s about more than that.
“Besides the music, it’s the self-confidence they get over time,” Caballero said. “Stepping out of their comfort zone and just collaborating with other students.”
